Mundesley is a lovely thriving seaside village on the North Norfolk Coast with a beautiful sandy blue flag beach. It's the perfect place to get away from it all and has much to offer for people of all ages. The beach stretches for miles and is wonderful for walking, swimming, surfing, building sand castles or just to relax and read a book or enjoy a picnic. There is a very good park, accessed via a footpath just at the end of the road where the cottage is located with zip wire, skate/scooter park, outdoor mini gym, crazy golf, amusements and multi use games area for playing football and basketball. Take a look at our village map and you'll see that all these facilities are close by.
During the summer months the main area of the beach is patrolled by lifeguards and children are able to play in the shallow pools left behind as the tides goes out. The beach is great for body boarding and we also have a surf school, Glide Surf who run surf and paddle board lessons during the summer holidays. You will also find the beach cafe (during spring/summer), toilets and a well stocked shop selling buckets, spades, wetsuits, etc and where you can hire wind breaks and deck chairs. And of course ice creams!
The village has a wonderful choice of cafes, fish and chip shops and great pub grub at The Ship Inn. Just minutes from the cottage you'll find lots of great independent shops including greengrocer, butcher, fishmonger, chemist, post office, craft shop and ladies boutique. There is also a bike hire shop too which offers half day or daily hire for adults and children. For a bigger shop there's a Tesco Local and just a short drive away in nearby North Walsham you will find a Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Lidl supermarket. Mundesley Tourist Information Office is a brilliant source of information on local events and attractions.
